Buffalo Wallow Press is a small letterpress started in 2010 by twin sisters, Megan and Melanie Berner. Originally from Reno, NV, we have always had a love for art, books, and handmade things. Both of us learned the art of letterpress on Vandercook presses--one at the Black Rock Press in Reno, NV and the other at the Center for the Book in Iowa City, IA. We acquired our first press in the summer of 2010, an Adana Eight-Five, and hope to add to our collection of all things press related. We are in the process of restoring a Gordon-Challenge floor platen press and hope to have it up and running soon.

 

We offer custom wedding invitations and create quality, hand-crafted goods using traditional letterpress equipment. Our mission is to create affordable letterpress products combining skillful handiwork and old-world craftsmanship with a modern DIY aesthetic and sophisticated unique design.

The perfect invite for our San Francisco Wedding!

Buffalo Wallow customized our wedding invitations to perfection. After a few weeks of planning and design we were absolutely thrilled with the results of both the invitation and response cards. They matched our personalities and wedding venue perfectly; we couldn't have asked for anything more. Buffalo Wallow was thorough and responsive to our many needs and produced outstanding, quality work. We now enjoy the framed invitation everyday in our home!

I have always been drawn to letterpress invitations, but thought it would be impossible to afford them and also combine professional letterpress with design by a graphic designer friend of mine.  Megan Berner of Buffalo Wallow literally made all my dreams come true.  She worked with my designer friend to choose inks and paper that made the design truly come to life and the printing was phenomenal.  She was extremely accommodating (which is so helpful when you're a stressed out bride!) and her work was top notch.  We got MANY compliments on our wedding invitations and some of our family members even decided they HAD to come once they saw the invite.  The invitations were one of the most important elements of our celebration for me and I could not have asked for a better experience than the one I had with Buffalo Wallow.
