We had the pleaure of working with Jen for our July 2011 wedding in the Tahoe area. Since we live in the area, we had heard her name around and knew that she was good, but hadn't actually met her. We definitely wanted to use someone local so I gave her a call. From the beginning there was already a pretty high comfort level with her, very easy going, and friendly person. We met and discussed details and hired her on the spot.










































She gave us a beautiful engagement session on a local beach as part of our wedding package, which we had a great time doing. (This included two dogs and our two year old daughter, both of which she was more than happy to work with!)































































































































































Our wedding day went just as smoothly, she arrived during a fairly stressful part of the day and just glided in and started shooting. Her non-imposing nature worked very well with us, besides that her photos are absolutely beautiful.
I am so grateful to have had Jen shoot our wedding, she is professional, punctual, experienced, and very good at what she does. I would highly recommend her to anyone and I'm sure I will!

Jen flew out to Montana to photograph my outdoor wedding in June of 2010.  She was so well-prepared, professional, and friendly, and she made everyone feel completely at-ease during the photo sessions!  Jen took outstanding posed group photos and was extremely helpful and patient as different combinations of relatives filed in and out of the pictures.  She then followed my husband and I with her camera as we frolicked through fields and gardens, and the photographs she produced from these candid sessions are simply breathtaking.  Every single one is a work of art and will be cherished in our family for generations - she gave us such an incredible gift.  She also photographed our entire reception, and I still am amazed by her ability to be in a million places at the same time - she managed to capture so many intimate, charming moments with all of our guests.
So many people have told me that that Jen's photos from our wedding are simply the absolute best wedding photos they've ever seen - and I completely agree!  Jen was a dream to work with and is a true artist.

My husband and I were married November 20th 2010 in Incline Village, Nevada and Jen Schmidt was our photographer. Firstly, we could not have been happier with the pictures; Jen took our engagement pictures on the 19th and then took the wedding pictures on the 20th. Jen managed to capture all the emotions of each day and really took some amazing pictures. I had to attach a couple pictures here so you could see the shots she was able to get first on one of the windiest days I have seen in Tahoe and then in the middle of a blizzard. Jen was able to capture the moment as no one else could.

Aside from her obvious talent as a photographer Jen was also easy to contact, responsive to phone calls and e-mails, patient, and professional. I live in Indianapolis so all of our communication had to be via phone or e-mail. Jen got back to me quickly answering my questions and emailing me the contract so I could book the date. Jen then contacted me several times before the date to get a timeline and list of pictures we wanted taken. Jen was punctual for the engagement shoot and the wedding day and in total she spent ten hours taking hundreds of pictures so we could remember the day, and then she edited the pictures and got them back to us within three weeks.

The number one compliment I got from my guests about Jen was her ability to blend into the crowd. People ask me how she got certain pictures because they don't remember seeing her at all. At the same time Jen was great at taking charge when necessary especially when getting all the group pictures. Overall we could not have asked for a better photographer and I would recommend her to all of my friends.
