Initially, we had only booked the Museum for our ceremony and had our reception planned at another venue. Our reception venue threw us for a loop only 3 months before the wedding but just as I was about to have a nervous breakdown, I called Karri (the Museum event director) to see what our options were for having the entire wedding at the Museum. Karri was so unbelievably helpful and kind. She truly sympathized with our situation and did everything in her power to make things work for us. And in less than a week, we had our wedding back on track! Karri was truly a pleasure to work with. She was always available to answer our many questions or to change our rental order. Unfortunately, Karri was out of town the weekend of our wedding so her assistant, Cori, worked our actual wedding and she was amazing! She is so incredibly sweet and was so amazingly helpful. I'm not going to lie; I was a little hesitant about having someone that I had not previously worked with work my wedding but Cori was fully briefed on my wedding and executed it flawlessly. I couldn't be happier with the way things turned out.
Aside from how gorgeous the space is and how wonderful the service was, the museum is a truly unique place to have a wedding. The rental fee also includes the use of a bridal suite and grooms suite for one hour prior to the ceremony, which was so much more useful than I could have ever imagined. The rental also includes all of your chairs and linens, which means one less vendor to have to deal with! And finally, you also get to choose one floor of the Museum to have opened to your guests during cocktail hour! So much fun! I opted to pay a small fee to have the other floor open to my guests as well so that they were not limited to just half of the galleries.
I couldn’t imagine having our wedding anywhere else!
