This venue was amazing. The Opera house fit perfectly into our elegant, vintage theme. No decorations were needed since the location was perfect with chandeliers and lights giving a perfect ambiance. Lori - the Opera house director worked her butt off making sure everything went perfectly. She was there from set up to break down to make sure that we had everything we could possibly need.
All night people complemented me on the beautiful opera house, and how unique and wonderful the idea was to have our wedding in such a setting.
Not only was the venue perfect but Virgina city also provided my guests with an exciting day of exploring the town prior to the ceremony, many said they loved the feeling of stepping back in time and they enjoyed knowing they had fun things to do to keep them occupied before the ceremony.
Old Corner Bar which is a vintage bar attached to the opera house provided and served all of our alcohol and nonalcohlic beverages. The owner Bill was amazing - we were able to ordered all of our beverages, cups and ice through him which removed the stress of hunting around and gathering all the items we needed.
Bill was also the bartender for our reception up stairs and he was amazing, he was professional, courteous and made sure we never ran out of beverages for our guests
I spent over a year getting our wedding together so I had time to compare venues and bottle service and in the end Piper's Opera house was a perfect 10 in my book and the Old Corner Bar beat all the other venues bar services hands down.
With the help of Lori and Bill our night was perfect and I urge anyone looking for a beautiful venue to go check out Piper's Opera House in Virginia City. We couldn't have chosen nicer people to work with or a more perfect venue to have our wedding in.
